Perception & Logic.

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

This morning was our third lecture of the semester. The topics that we learnt was PERCEPTION and LOGIC in thinking. Actually, perception and logic are the two stages of thinking that all of us did. So, what is perception? Well, from what I'd understand, perception is the way that we think about someone or something as the first impression towards it. This perception is not always true or false, but in a more defined meaning perception is the ability to understand or aware about something easily by using our senses. Perception is also said to be the result of perceiving and observation obtained by using our senses. In most cases, perception can be said as a belief or opinion that often held by many people and based on how things seem.

There are three types of perception-- auditory, visual, and kinesthetic-tactile in which all of it does required us to use our senses. Moreover, the perception has a few attributes which are change-able, personal, continuously, and selective. This attributes of perception were mostly influenced by contrast, background, self-esteem, focus, object arrangement, time, mind setting, and motivation that someone could see or observed. To make it easier, perception can be like this;

Now, we can move on to logic. From what I understand, logic is something that make sense, realistic and justifiable. Perception and logic are dependent to each other in which the perception collects all the information to come out with a concept and the meaning whereas logic is a set of assumptions used from the a general conclusion that generated from the perception. So, the perception and logic are so useful in finding the causes and effects of and event happening, making and arguments on something or issue, and making a conclusion about something. Logic is based on two methods-- inductive and deductive.

During this period, we did an activity related to inductive and deductive logic. We were told to generate some examples of the inductive and deductive reasoning. So. here are some of the sneaks peak of us during the activity;

Here, Eka is presenting about deductive logic.

This is a video of Mimi presenting about deductive logic.

This is our 'manuscript' =)

So, that is all happening this week and till we meet again next week.
